The Hurricane Tigers basketball squad (Hurricane, UT), was nudged 60-54 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting Cedar Reds (Cedar City, UT)

With the victory, Cedar advances its record to 3-16 on the year. The Reds host Desert Hills (St. George, UT) to meet the Thunder in a 4A Region 9 battle on Friday, January 24. The Thunder enter the battle with a record of 10-8. Desert Hills lost 56-52 in their recent league battle against Pine View (St. George, UT)

The Tigers now own a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dixie for a 4A Region 9 test on Friday, January 24. Hurricane will encounter a Flyers squad coming off a 67-66 league win over Crimson Cliffs (Washington, UT). The Flyers record now stands at 13-5.
