Hurricane Tigers (Hurricane, UT) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Dixie Flyers (St. George, UT), 54-51 in a league match.

With the victory, Hurricane advances its record to 11-8 on the year. The Tigers host Desert Hills (St. George, UT) to face the Thunder in a 4A Region 9 match on Wednesday, January 29. The Thunder enter the match with a record of 11-8. Desert Hills won 63-40 in their recent league match against Cedar (Cedar City, UT)

The Flyers now own a 13-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Crimson Cliffs for a 4A Region 9 match on Tuesday, January 28. Dixie will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 49-41 league win over Snow Canyon (St. George, UT). The Mustangs record now stands at 12-6.
