Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Gaston Day Spartans (Gastonia, NC) and the visiting Metrolina Christian Academy Warriors (Indian Trail, NC), saw Gaston Day's basketball squad knock off Metrolina Christian Academy by a count of 68-48.

With the victory, Gaston Day upgrades its record to 15-9 on the campaign. The Spartans host SouthLake Christian Academy (Huntersville, NC) to play the in a NCISAA Metrolina challenge on Friday, January 26. The come into the challenge with a record of 13-13. SouthLake Christian Academy lost 78-60 in their recent non-league challenge against Davidson Day (Davidson, NC)

Next up, the Warriors play the Corvian Community Cardinals (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 25. Metrolina Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 11-12 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 12-3 record after their 63-60 league win over Lincoln Charter (Denver, NC).
