The Gaston Day Spartans basketball team (Gastonia, NC), was nudged 78-73 in Monday's league battle with the visiting Gaston Christian Eagles (Gastonia, NC)

The Eagles now sport a 13-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to SouthLake Christian Academy for a NCISAA Metrolina battle on Tuesday, January 23. Gaston Christian will battle a team coming off a 59-46 league loss to Westminster Catawba Christian (Rock Hill, SC). The record now stands at 13-11.

The Spartans (14-9) will now prepare for their battle against Metrolina Christian Academy (Indian Trail, NC). The Warriors come into the NCISAA Metrolina battle with a 11-11 record. In their last battle, Metrolina Christian Academy was nudged by Northside Christian Academy (Charlotte, NC), 66-34, in a league battle.
