Texas High School Basketball - Medina Valley topped by Southwest

The Southwest Dragons basketball team scored 69 points and restricted the host Medina Valley Panthers to 53 in the Dragons league victory on Friday.

The Dragons now sport a 11-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to McCollum for a 5A Region IV District 28 contest on Tuesday, January 31. Southwest will battle a Cowboys team coming off a 62-51 league loss to Winn (Eagle Pass, TX). The Cowboys record now stands at 11-13.

The Panthers (7-19) will now prepare for their contest against Harlandale (San Antonio, TX). The Indians come into the 5A Region IV District 28 contest with a 14-11 record. In their last contest, Harlandale prevailed over South San Antonio (San Antonio, TX), 69-64, in a league contest.
