Texas High School Basketball - Southwest fells Medina Valley

January 3, 2023: San Antonio, TX 78252

Southwest Dragons (San Antonio, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Medina Valley Panthers (Castroville, TX), 68-54 in a league bout.

With the win, Southwest upgrades its record to 8-9 on the season. The Dragons host McCollum (San Antonio, TX) to play the Cowboys in a 5A Region IV District 28 bout on Friday, January 6. The Cowboys go into the bout with a record of 10-8. McCollum won 72-49 in their recent league bout against Winn (Eagle Pass, TX)

Next up, the Panthers play the Harlandale Indians (San Antonio, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 28 bout, on Friday, January 6. Medina Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 4-14 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 6-10 record after their 54-51 league loss to South San Antonio (San Antonio, TX).
