Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Southwest Dragons (San Antonio, TX) and the visiting McCollum Cowboys (San Antonio, TX), saw Southwest's basketball squad hold off McCollum by a tally of 57-55.

With the victory, Southwest improves its record to 9-9 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to Southside (San Antonio, TX) to confront the Cardinals in a 5A Region IV District 28 challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 5-13. Southside lost 83-57 in their recent league challenge against Winn (Eagle Pass, TX)
