Fans at Friday's league challenge between the South San Antonio Bobcats (San Antonio, TX) and the host Southwest Dragons (San Antonio, TX), saw South San Antonio's basketball squad hold off Southwest by a tally of 52-50.

With the victory, South San Antonio improves its record to 15-9 on the campaign. The Bobcats host McCollum (San Antonio, TX) to confront the Cowboys in a 5A Region IV District 28 challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Cowboys come into the challenge with a record of 10-10.

Next up, the Dragons confront the Harlandale Indians (San Antonio, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 28 challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Southwest will attempt to improve on its 10-10 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 8-11 record after their 72-31 league win over Winn (Eagle Pass, TX).
