New York High School Basketball - Sherman nudges Westfield
January 27, 2023: Sherman, NY 14781 Sherman Wildcats (Sherman, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Westfield Wolverines (Westfield, NY), 49-46 in a league bout.
With the win, Sherman upgrades its record to 9-6 on the season. The Wildcats host Clymer Central (Clymer, NY) to clash with the Pirates in a Section 6 Chautauqua/Cattaraugus - II West bout on Monday, January 30. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 11-3. Clymer Central won 48-40 in their recent league bout against Chautauqua Lake (Mayville, NY)
Next up, the Wolverines clash with the Brocton Bulldogs (Brocton, NY) in a Section 6 Chautauqua/Cattaraugus - II West bout, on Thursday, February 2. Westfield will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 3-13 record after their 64-43 league loss to Chautauqua Lake (Mayville, NY).
