New York High School Basketball - Chautauqua Lake over Sherman
February 2, 2023: Mayville, NY 14757 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Chautauqua Lake Thunderbirds (Mayville, NY) and the visiting Sherman Wildcats (Sherman, NY), saw Chautauqua Lake's basketball squad overcome Sherman by a tally of 40-29.
With the victory, Chautauqua Lake improves its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds host Westfield (Westfield, NY) to play the Wolverines in a Section 6 Chautauqua/Cattaraugus - II West challenge on Monday, February 6. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a record of 11-6. Westfield won 52-25 in their recent league challenge against Brocton (Brocton, NY)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Panama Panthers (Panama, NY) in a Section 6 Chautauqua/Cattaraugus - II West challenge, on Monday, February 6. Sherman will attempt to improve on its 9-8 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 11-4 record after their 48-36 league loss to Clymer Central (Clymer, NY).
