Game Story

California High School Basketball - Yosemite nips Liberty

January 3, 2023: Madera, CA 93636

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Yosemite Badgers (Oakhurst, CA) and the host Liberty Hawks (Madera, CA), saw Yosemite's basketball squad hold off Liberty by a tally of 52-48.

With the victory, Yosemite improves its record to 3-13 on the campaign. The Badgers travel to Sierra (Tollhouse, CA) to play the Chieftains in a Northwest Sequoia challenge on Friday, January 6. The Chieftains come into the challenge with a record of 10-4. Sierra won 98-42 in their recent league challenge against Minarets (O'Neals, CA)

Next up, the Hawks play the Coalinga Horned Toads (Coalinga, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 4. Liberty will attempt to improve on its 6-9 season record. The Horned Toads come into the challenge with a 5-8 record after their 60-55 non-league win over Buhach Colony (Atwater, CA).
