The Bacon County Raiders basketball squad (Alma, GA), was crushed 90-53 in Friday's league battle with the host Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane (Fitzgerald, GA)

With the victory, Fitzgerald advances its record to 15-4 on the year. The Purple Hurricane travel to Thomasville (Thomasville, GA) to meet the Bulldogs in a A D1 Region 1 battle on Tuesday, February 3. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a record of 10-9. Thomasville won 75-50 in their recent league battle against Berrien (Nashville, GA)

The Raiders now own a 10-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Worth County for a A D1 Region 1 battle on Saturday, January 31. Bacon County will meet a Rams squad coming off a 60-39 non-league loss to Ware County (Waycross, GA). The Rams record now stands at 5-15.
