The Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions basketball team (Glendale, AZ), was trounced 76-23 in Friday's league contest with the visiting O'Connor Eagles (Phoenix, AZ)

The Eagles (16-2) will now prepare for their contest against Boulder Creek (Anthem, AZ). The Jaguars come into the 6A Desert Valley contest with a 6-14 record. In their last contest, Boulder Creek was trounced by Liberty (Peoria, AZ), 58-22, in a league contest.

Next up, the Mountain Lions face the Liberty Lions (Peoria, AZ) in a 6A Desert Valley match, on Tuesday, February 3. Mountain Ridge will attempt to advance on its 8-15 season record. The Lions enter the match with a 11-11 record after their 53-34 league loss to Pinnacle (Phoenix, AZ).
