The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the O'Connor Eagles (Phoenix, AZ) and the host Pinnacle Pioneers (Phoenix, AZ), witnessed O'Connor's basketball squad hold off Pinnacle by a count of 40-35.

With the victory, O'Connor advances its record to 18-2 on the year. The Eagles host Mountain Ridge (Glendale, AZ) to meet the Mountain Lions in a 6A Desert Valley match on Wednesday, February 11. The Mountain Lions enter the match with a record of 8-17. Mountain Ridge lost 39-36 in their recent league match against Boulder Creek (Anthem, AZ)
