The O'Connor Eagles (Phoenix, AZ) basketball crushed the host Liberty Lions (Peoria, AZ), 60-35 in Thursday's league bout.

The Eagles now possess a 15-2 record. They play next when they travel to Mountain Ridge for a 6A Desert Valley bout on Friday, January 30. O'Connor will play a Mountain Lions team coming off a 56-25 league loss to Pinnacle (Phoenix, AZ). The Mountain Lions record now stands at 8-14.

In their next game, the Lions encounter the Pinnacle Pioneers (Phoenix, AZ) in a 6A Desert Valley challenge, on Friday, January 30. Liberty will attempt to improve on its 11-10 season record. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a 14-8 record after their 77-19 non-league win over Gila Ridge (Yuma, AZ).
