Arkansas High School Basketball - Walnut Ridge thwarts Salem
January 31, 2024: Walnut Ridge, AR 72476 The Walnut Ridge Bobcats (Walnut Ridge, AR) basketball knocked off the visiting Salem Greyhounds (Salem, AR), 49-38 in Wednesday's league test.
The Bobcats (11-10) will now prepare for their test against Hoxie (Hoxie, AR). The Mustangs go into the 3A Region 2 test with a 6-13 record. In their last test, Hoxie went down by Melbourne (Melbourne, AR), 56-41, in a league test.
The Greyhounds now own a 3-17 record. They play next when they host Cave City for a 3A Region 2 test on Friday, February 2. Salem will encounter a Cavemen squad coming off a 59-56 league loss to Walnut Ridge (Walnut Ridge, AR). The Cavemen record now stands at 10-14.
