In Friday's league contest, the host Western Boone Stars basketball team scored a close 82-77 triumph over the North Montgomery Chargin' Chargers.

The Stars (4-10) will now prepare for their contest against Faith Christian (Lafayette, IN). The Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 3-13 record. In their last contest, Faith Christian was tipped by DeMotte Christian (DeMotte, IN), 54-50, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Chargin' Chargers battle the North Vermillion Falcons (Cayuga, IN) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, February 1. North Montgomery will attempt to better on its 4-11 season record. The Falcons go into the contest with a 13-4 record after their 54-53 league win over Covington (Covington, IN).
