Covington Trojans (Covington, IN) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Western Boone Stars (Thorntown, IN), 53-51 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Covington advances its record to 3-5 on the year. The Trojans travel to Lafayette Central Catholic (Lafayette, IN) to face the Knights in a non-league match on Friday, December 13. The Knights enter the match with a record of 3-1. Lafayette Central Catholic won 60-47 in their recent non-league match against Twin Lakes (Monticello, IN)

The Stars now own a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lebanon for a Sagamore match on Friday, December 13. Western Boone will face a Tigers squad coming off a 61-48 league win over Crawfordsville (Crawfordsville, IN). The Tigers record now stands at 2-1.
