Webster County Trojans (Dixon, KY) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Union County Braves (Morganfield, KY), 72-65 in a league match.

With the victory, Webster County advances its record to 5-11 on the year. The Trojans host Henderson County (Henderson, KY) to face the Colonels in a District 6 match on Tuesday, February 4. The Colonels enter the match with a record of 15-5.

The Braves now own a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Harrisburg for a non-league match on Saturday, February 1. Union County will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 61-48 league loss to Murphysboro (Murphysboro, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 16-6.
