Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Gwynn Park Yellowjackets (Brandywine, MD) and the host Central Falcons (Capitol Heights, MD), saw Gwynn Park's basketball squad wallop Central by a count of 72-19.

With the victory, Gwynn Park upgrades its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Wise (Upper Marlboro, MD) to play the Pumas in a Prince George's County 4A challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Pumas come into the challenge with a record of 9-0. Wise won 62-48 in their recent league challenge against Flowers (Springdale, MD)

Next up, the Falcons play the Friendly Patriots (Fort Washington, MD) in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Central will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record.
