The North Buncombe Black Hawks basketball squad (Weaverville, NC), lost 70-51 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting McDowell Titans (Marion, NC)

With the victory, McDowell advances its record to 14-0 on the year. The Titans travel to Enka (Enka, NC) to meet the Jets in a 3A/4A Mountain battle on Friday, January 10. The Jets enter the battle with a record of 5-9. Enka lost 53-35 in their recent league battle against T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC)

The Black Hawks now own a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Robbinsville for a non-league battle on Wednesday, January 8. North Buncombe will meet a Black Knights squad coming off a 50-33 non-league loss to Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC). The Black Knights record now stands at 4-4.
