In Tuesday's league outing, the Mars Fightin' Planets (Mars, PA) basketball squad nipped the host Shaler Area Titans (Pittsburgh, PA), by a margin of 45-42.

The Fightin' Planets (7-5) will now prepare for their outing against North Hills (Pittsburgh, PA). The Indians go into the WPIAL 5A 2 outing with a 6-4 record. In their last outing, North Hills got by New Castle (New Castle, PA), 49-16, in a league outing.
