The Mars Fightin' Planets (Mars, PA) basketball nipped the visiting Shaler Area Titans (Pittsburgh, PA), 41-38 in Thursday's league test.

The Fightin' Planets (10-9) will now prepare for their test against North Hills (Pittsburgh, PA). The Indians go into the WPIAL 5A 2 test with a 10-6 record. In their last test, North Hills got by New Castle (New Castle, PA), 55-21, in a league test.
