Independence Patriots (Glendale, AZ) boosters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Fairfax Stampede (Laveen, AZ), 81-67 in a non-league game.

The Patriots now have a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Alhambra for a non-league outing on Friday, November 21. Independence will face a Lions squad coming off a 46-37 non-league win over Glendale (Glendale, AZ). The Lions record now stands at 1-0.

The Stampede (0-1) will now prepare for their outing against Carl Hayden Community (Phoenix, AZ). The Falcons enter the 5A Metro outing with a 0-0 record.
