In Tuesday's league match, the host Concord Spiders basketball team scored a tight 57-54 triumph over the Carson Cougars.

In their next game, the Spiders meet the East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC) in a 3A Conference 48 match, on Friday, December 9. Concord will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record. The Mustangs enter the match with a 1-3 record after their 91-61 league loss to Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC).

With the defeat, Carson moves to 3-2 on the year. The Cougars travel to West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC) to meet the Falcons in a 3A Conference 48 match on Friday, December 9.
