The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the River Valley Panthers (Blairsville, PA) and the visiting Purchase Line Red Dragons (Commodore, PA), observed River Valley's basketball team overwhelm Purchase Line by a score of 52-12.

The Panthers (5-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Greater Johnstown (Johnstown, PA). The Trojans come into the non-league challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Greater Johnstown was routed by Central Cambria (Ebensburg, PA), 52-49, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Red Dragons battle the Moshannon Valley Black Knights/Damsels (Houtzdale, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 13. Purchase Line will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Black Knights/Damsels come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 35-19 league loss to Glendale (Flinton, PA).
