Connecticut High School Basketball - Valley Regional fells North Branford

Valley Regional Warriors (Deep River, CT) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting North Branford Thunderbirds (North Branford, CT), 69-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Valley Regional upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Warriors travel to New Milford (New Milford, CT) to play the Green Wave in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 16. The Green Wave go into the bout with a record of 1-0. New Milford won 57-54 in their recent non-league bout against Wheeler (North Stonington, CT)

Next up, the Thunderbirds play the Coginchaug Regional Blue Devils (Durham, CT) in a Shoreline bout, on Saturday, December 16. North Branford will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 48-32 league win over Westbrook (Westbrook, CT).
