January 19, 2024: North Branford, CT 06471 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Coginchaug Regional Blue Devils (Durham, CT) and the host North Branford Thunderbirds (North Branford, CT), saw Coginchaug Regional's basketball squad knock off North Branford by a count of 54-44.
With the victory, Coginchaug Regional upgrades its record to 9-3 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to Haddam-Killingworth (Higganum, CT) to confront the Cougars in a Shoreline battle on Tuesday, January 23. The Cougars come into the battle with a record of 7-3. Haddam-Killingworth won 61-50 in their recent league battle against Old Saybrook (Old Saybrook, CT)
The Thunderbirds (1-8) will now prepare for their battle against Portland (Portland, CT). The Highlanders come into the Shoreline battle with a 3-8 record. In their last battle, Portland dropped by East Hampton (East Hampton, CT), 65-61, in a league battle.
