The Valley Pirates basketball squad (Sanders, AZ), was nudged 66-63 in Saturday's league battle with the host Pinon Eagles (Pinon, AZ)

With the victory, Pinon advances its record to 11-14 on the year.

The Pirates now own a 12-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Many Farms for a 2A North battle on Monday, February 3. Valley will meet a Lobos squad coming off a 39-37 league win over Hopi (Keams Canyon, AZ). The Lobos record now stands at 17-8.
