Connecticut High School Basketball - Shepaug Valley thwarts Nonnewaug
February 10, 2023: Woodbury, CT 06798 The Shepaug Valley Spartans (Washington, CT) basketball knocked off the host Nonnewaug Chiefs (Woodbury, CT), 65-56 in Friday's league test.
The Spartans (11-6) will now prepare for their test against Ellington (Ellington, CT). The Knights go into the non-league test with a 14-3 record. In their last test, Ellington notched a victory over Somers (Somers, CT), 46-40, in a league test.
The Chiefs now own a 8-11 record. They play next when they host Housatonic-Wamogo for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 14. Nonnewaug will encounter a Mountaineers squad coming off a 72-47 non-league loss to Terryville (Terryville, CT). The Mountaineers record now stands at 0-15.
