February 2, 2024: New Kensington, PA 15068 In Friday's league match, the visiting Derry Trojans basketball team scored a decisive 78-51 triumph over the Valley Vikings.
In their next game, the Trojans meet the Shady Side Academy Bulldogs (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 3 match, on Tuesday, February 6. Derry will attempt to better on its 12-5 season record. The Bulldogs enter the match with a 10-6 record after their 96-33 league win over Ligonier Valley (Ligonier, PA).
With the defeat, Valley moves to 5-12 on the year. The Vikings host Deer Lakes (Russellton, PA) to meet the Lancers in a WPIAL 3A 3 match on Tuesday, February 6. The Lancers enter the match with a record of 16-3. Deer Lakes lost 70-65 in their recent non-league match against Highlands (Natrona Heights, PA)
