The Union Bears basketball team scored 41 points and held the host Abingdon Falcons to 29 in the Bears league triumph on Friday.

The Bears now sport a 12-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Ridge for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 4. Union will meet a Wolves team coming off a 59-44 league loss to David Crockett (Jonesborough, TN). The Wolves record now stands at 7-10.

The Falcons (4-16) will now prepare for their contest against John Battle (Bristol, VA). The Trojans enter the Mountain contest with a 8-12 record. In their last contest, John Battle was outscored by Gate City (Gate City, VA), 58-38, in a league contest.
