The Palestine Wildcats basketball team (Palestine, TX), was edged 65-59 in Tuesday's league bout with the visiting Center Roughriders (Center, TX)

The Roughriders now possess a 16-8 record. They play next when they host Hudson for a 4A Region III District 17 bout on Friday, February 7. Center will play a Hornets team coming off a 65-36 league win over Rusk (Rusk, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 15-16.

With the loss, Palestine falls to 13-16 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Madisonville (Madisonville, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 4A Region III District 17 bout on Friday, February 7. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 21-7. Madisonville lost 57-54 in their recent league bout against Bullard (Bullard, TX)
