Virginia High School Basketball - Lakeland can't hold off Grassfield
February 6, 2023: Chesapeake, VA 23323 The Lakeland Cavaliers basketball team (Suffolk, VA), was nudged 66-60 in Monday's league battle with the host Grassfield Grizzlies (Chesapeake, VA)
The Grizzlies now possess a 9-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Oscar Smith for a Southeastern battle on Tuesday, February 7. Grassfield will battle a Tigers team coming off a 57-46 non-league win over Washington-Liberty (Arlington, VA). The Tigers record now stands at 18-1.
The Cavaliers (5-14) will now prepare for their battle against Hickory (Chesapeake, VA). The Hawks come into the Southeastern battle with a 0-18 record. In their last battle, Hickory was nudged by Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA), 100-32, in a league battle.
