Washington, DC High School Basketball - Bishop O'Connell topped by Gonzaga
February 6, 2024: Washington, DC 20001 The Gonzaga Eagles basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the visiting Bishop O'Connell Knights to 52 in the Eagles league victory on Tuesday.
The Eagles now sport a 21-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Archbishop Carroll for a DCSAA AA contest on Friday, February 9. Gonzaga will battle a Lions team coming off a 69-67 league loss to St. John's (Washington, DC). The Lions record now stands at 16-11.
The Knights (17-6) will now prepare for their contest against The Heights (Potomac, MD). The come into the non-league contest with a 2-19 record. In their last contest, The Heights was defeated by Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, MD), 81-70, in a league contest.
