Virginia High School Basketball - Bishop O'Connell can't hold off St. John's
January 29, 2024: Arlington, VA 22213 The St. John's Cadets basketball team scored 60 points and held the host Bishop O'Connell Knights to 57 in the Cadets league triumph on Monday.
The Cadets now sport a 17-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Paul VI for a VISAA Division I contest on Tuesday, January 30. St. John's will battle a Panthers team coming off a 80-58 league win over Bishop Ireton (Alexandria, VA). The Panthers record now stands at 18-2.
The Knights (15-5) will now prepare for their contest against Bishop McNamara (Forestville, MD). The Mustangs enter the Washington Catholic contest with a 12-8 record. In their last contest, Bishop McNamara nudged St. John's (Washington, DC), 68-62, in a league contest.
