February 7, 2023: Memphis, TN 38119 In Tuesday's league outing, the Christian Brothers Purple Wave (Memphis, TN) basketball squad felled the host Memphis University Owls (Memphis, TN), by a margin of 47-27.
The Purple Wave (18-6) will now prepare for their outing against St. Benedict at Auburndale (Cordova, TN). The Eagles go into the Division II-AA West outing with a 9-11 record. In their last outing, St. Benedict at Auburndale was beaten by Briarcrest Christian (Eads, TN), 66-49, in a league outing.
The Owls now own a 17-8 record. They play next when they travel to Briarcrest Christian for a Division II-AA West outing on Friday, February 10. Memphis University will encounter a Saints squad coming off a 66-49 league win over St. Benedict at Auburndale (Cordova, TN). The Saints record now stands at 28-2.
