McLeod Longhorns (McLeod, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Union Grove Lions (Gladewater, TX), 47-41 in a league bout.

With the win, McLeod upgrades its record to 23-9 on the season. The Longhorns host Harleton (Harleton, TX) to clash with the Wildcats in a 2A Region III District 21 bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 8-18.

Next up, the Lions clash with the Harleton Wildcats (Harleton, TX) in a 2A Region III District 21 bout, on Friday, February 10. Union Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 15-12 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 8-18 record after their 50-43 league loss to Big Sandy (Big Sandy, TX).
