The Hernando Leopards overwhelmed the visiting Central Bears softball squad by a count of 17-1 in Friday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Leopards meet the Springstead Eagles (Spring Hill, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, April 1. Hernando will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record. The Eagles go into the challenge with a 10-1 record after their 16-0 non-league win over Weeki Wachee (Weeki Wachee, FL).

With the loss, Central moves to 3-9 on the season. The Bears host Hudson (Hudson, FL) to encounter the Cobras in a 4A District 9 battle on Thursday, April 2. The Cobras come into the battle with a record of 6-8. Hudson lost 5-2 in their recent league battle against Gulf (New Port Richey, FL)
