North Carolina High School Softball - Alexander Central bounces Watauga
April 12, 2022: Taylorsville, NC 28681 Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC), 13-1 in a league challenge.
The Cougars now own a 17-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Caldwell for a Northwestern 3A/4A game on Thursday, April 14. Alexander Central will clash with a Spartans team coming off a 7-4 league win over Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 10-1.
In their next game, the Pioneers clash with the Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A game, on Thursday, April 14. Watauga will attempt to move on its 3-15 season record. The Panthers come into the game with a 9-5 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC).
