In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting St. Johns Redskins softball team scored a tight 9-4 victory over the Phoenix Christian Cougars.

The Redskins (14-9) will now prepare for their match against Northland Prep Academy (Flagstaff, AZ). The Spartans go into the 2A North match with a 6-6 record.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Pima Roughriders (Pima, AZ) in a non-league match, on Monday, April 20. Phoenix Christian will attempt to better on its 18-8 season record. The Roughriders go into the match with a 14-9 record after their 6-5 non-league loss to Morenci (Morenci, AZ).
