Illinois High School Softball - Lake Zurich bounces Zion-Benton
May 4, 2023: Zion, IL 60099 The Lake Zurich Bears routed the host Zion-Benton Zee-Bees softball squad by a count of 15-3 in Thursday's league battle.
The Bears (4-13) will now prepare for their battle against Jacobs (Algonquin, IL). The Golden Eagles go into the non-league battle with a 9-15 record. In their last battle, Jacobs was routed by Libertyville (Libertyville, IL), 11-0, in a non-league battle.
The Zee-Bees now sport a 4-11 record. They play next when they host Carmel for a non-league battle on Thursday, May 11. Zion-Benton will meet a Corsairs squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Crystal Lake Central (Crystal Lake, IL). The Corsairs record now stands at 16-2.
