Georgia High School Volleyball - Banks County held off by Franklin County

Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Franklin County Lions (Carnesville, GA) and the host Banks County Leopards (Homer, GA), observed Franklin County's volleyball team hold off Banks County by a count of 2-1.

The Lions (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Athens Academy (Athens, GA). The Spartans go into the non-league battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, Athens Academy was edged by Loganville (Loganville, GA), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

The Leopards now own a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Habersham Central for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, August 13. Banks County will meet a Raiders team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Commerce (Commerce, GA). The Raiders record now stands at 5-1.
