The Mount Airy Granite Bears volleyball squad (Mount Airy, NC), was edged 3-2 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Forbush Falcons (East Bend, NC)

With the win, Forbush improves its record to 9-5 on the season. The Falcons travel to East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC) to meet the Cardinals in a Northwest 3A/4A challenge on Thursday, September 18. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a record of 10-4. East Surry won 3-1 in their recent league challenge against North Surry (Mount Airy, NC)

Next, the Granite Bears meet the Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC) in a Northwest 3A/4A challenge, on Thursday, September 18. Mount Airy will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record.
