Texas High School Basketball - McKinney North nudges Lovejoy

January 7, 2022: McKinney, TX 75071

McKinney North Bulldogs (McKinney, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lovejoy Leopards (Lucas, TX), 45-40 in a league bout.

With the win, McKinney North upgrades its record to 21-1 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to The Colony (The Colony, TX) to clash with the Cougars in a 5A Region II District 10 bout on Tuesday, January 11. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 7-8. The Colony won 44-25 in their recent league bout against Sherman (Sherman, TX)

Next up, the Leopards clash with the Denison Yellow Jackets (Denison, TX) in a 5A Region II District 10 game, on Tuesday, January 11. Lovejoy will attempt to move on its 13-10 season record. The Yellow Jackets enter the game with a 16-7 record after their 52-39 league loss to Rock Hill (Frisco, TX).
