Pisgah Bears (Canton, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC), 50-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pisgah upgrades its record to 8-6 on the season. The Bears travel to North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC) to play the Knights in a bout on Thursday, January 25. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 13-4. North Henderson won 55-50 in their recent league bout against West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC)

Next up, the Mustangs play the North Henderson Knights (Hendersonville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 26. Smoky Mountain will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 14-4 record after their 53-38 league win over Pisgah (Canton, NC).
