Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Chambers Cougars (Charlotte, NC) and the visiting Hopewell Titans (Huntersville, NC), saw Chambers's basketball squad hold off Hopewell by a tally of 70-69.

With the victory, Chambers improves its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC) to play the Vikings in a 3A/4A Queen City challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 11-2. North Mecklenburg won 72-13 in their recent league challenge against West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC)

Next up, the Titans play the West Mecklenburg Hawks (Charlotte, NC) in a 3A/4A Queen City challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Hopewell will attempt to improve on its 11-2 season record.
