Hough Huskies (Cornelius, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host West Charlotte Lions (Charlotte, NC), 65-56 in a league bout.

With the win, Hough upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Huskies host Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC) to play the Mavericks in a 3A/4A Conference 60 bout on Friday, January 6. The Mavericks go into the bout with a record of 5-8. Mallard Creek lost 54-49 in their recent non-league bout against Harding University (Charlotte, NC)

Next up, the Lions play the Chambers Cougars (Charlotte, NC) in a 3A/4A Conference 60 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. West Charlotte will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record.
