Bard Falcons (Washington, DC) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Banneker Bulldogs (Washington, DC), 57-53 in a league bout.

With the win, Bard upgrades its record to 14-5 on the season. The Falcons host School Without Walls (Washington, DC) to play the Penguins in a DCSAA A bout on Monday, January 23. The Penguins go into the bout with a record of 7-5. School Without Walls lost 79-51 in their recent league bout against Coolidge (Washington, DC)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the McKinley Tech Trainers (Washington, DC) in a DCSAA AA bout, on Monday, January 23. Banneker will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Trainers go into the bout with a 16-4 record after their 49-24 non-league win over KIPP College Prep (Washington, DC).
