The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Ron Brown Monarchs (Washington, DC) and the visiting Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering Panthers (Washington, DC), observed Ron Brown's basketball team overcome Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering by a score of 61-46.

The Monarchs (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Model Secondary School for the Deaf (Washington, DC). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Model Secondary School for the Deaf dropped by Leonardtown (Leonardtown, MD), 72-38, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Coolidge Colts (Washington, DC) in a DCSAA AA challenge, on Wednesday, December 18. Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Colts come into the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 82-53 non-league win over Friendship Collegiate Academy (Washington, DC).
